Hawzah News Agency- The remarks were made during a large rally held in the southern port city of Karachi in support of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the Islamic Republic of Iran, while also strongly condemning the recent terrorist incident at Khadija al-Kubra Mosque in Islamabad.
According to organizers, the rally brought together religious scholars, political activists, and members of civil society who demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the mosque attack, as well as their facilitators. Speakers called for transparent investigations and the public release of findings, stressing that curbing terrorism remains one of the foremost responsibilities of Pakistan’s security and governmental institutions.
Warning Against US Threats
Addressing the gathering, Syed Hassan Zafar Naqvi, Secretary General of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, condemned the threatening rhetoric by the US president against Ayatollah Khamenei. He characterized such statements as dangerous and destabilizing, warning that hostile measures targeting Iran’s leadership could have serious regional repercussions.
Naqvi emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei represents a symbol of unity and resistance across the Muslim world, adding that any aggressive move against him would not be viewed in isolation but as a provocation affecting the broader Islamic world.
Iran-Pakistan Ties and Regional Stability
Speakers at the rally underscored the historical, religious, and strategic bonds between Iran and Pakistan, describing the two countries as brotherly Muslim nations with deep-rooted ties. They stated that any attack on Iran would be regarded as a direct threat to regional equilibrium.
The scholars further warned that external powers are seeking to foment instability in the region and stressed the need for national unity within Pakistan to confront terrorism and foreign interference. “Pakistan cannot afford further insecurity,” several speakers noted, urging state institutions to fulfill their constitutional and legal obligations.
Interfaith Solidarity
Representatives of other religious communities also participated in the event, expressing solidarity with the victims of the Islamabad Mosque attack. Manohar Chauhan from the Hindu community and Pastor Rahmat Lal from the Christian community conveyed condolences to the families of the victims and reaffirmed their commitment to interfaith harmony and national cohesion.
